What UPick is

UPick is an iOS app that solves the hardest question in every relationship: "what do you want to watch?". Two (or more) people swipe through movies and TV shows independently. When both — or all — say yes to the same title, it's a match. No arguing. No performing. Just popcorn.

Why it exists

Streaming made the choice harder, not easier. Every platform shows you everything; your partner shows you their face from across the couch. UPick is the lightweight middle layer — privacy on the input, honesty on the output, your shared Watch List on the other side.

The principles

Private inputs
Nobody — including us — sees what you individually swiped. Only the match list lands on the shared Watch List.

Free first
Every core feature works on the free tier. Premium unlocks more decades + capacity, not the core loop.

No dark patterns
No streak guilt. No interrupted swipes. No fake urgency. Cancel any tier in two taps from Settings.

Independent
No venture capital, no algorithmic pressure, no growth-at-all-costs incentive. Domus Antonia Lux LLC is a single-member Alabama LLC operating UPick.

The company behind it

Domus Antonia Lux LLC is the Alabama-formed LLC that operates UPick. Founded in May 2026 by Anthony Weaver. We're a single-person operation by design — the smaller the team, the smaller the temptation to compromise what users see in the app.

UPick is the company's first product. There may be others. They will all follow the same rules: private inputs, free first, no dark patterns, independent.

How UPick makes money

Optional subscriptions — Monthly $3.99, Yearly $19.99, Lifetime $24.99, One-Time $17.99. See pricing. The free tier is genuinely complete; subscriptions unlock more decades + higher daily caps.
Affiliate links — When you tap "Watch on Amazon" or sign up for a streaming service from a match, we earn a small commission. Disclosure: /affiliates.
Ads — Modest, opt-in. Premium removes them entirely. Never on the swipe stack. Disclosure: /disclosures.
Anonymized taste signal (opt-in) — Aggregate-only data licensing for industry research. Disclosure + opt-out: /privacy-choices. K-anonymity floor of 50 users per cohort. Default opt-in; opt-out anytime.

What we don't do

We don't sell your identity or your individual data, ever.
We don't train AI models on your swipe history.
We don't share your swipe behavior with your partner — only the matched outcomes.
We don't use dark patterns in subscriptions, cancellations, or notifications.
We don't accept advertising that targets your individual taste profile.
